A lightning strike at a local campground sends a charge through several visitors. The strike hit at Jefferson County's Jellystone Campground just before 11 Saturday night.

Paramedics say five people were injured from the strike, but no one was hit directly. The bolt reportedly struck a near by building and then traveled into the ground.

A local teenager was treated for internal injuries at Fort Atkinson Hospital, while an injured adult was taken to a Madison hospital. Two others were treated and released Saturday night.

One paramedic says he rarely gets calls for lightning strike injuries. "We don't see it too often, but nationwide it does become a problem with lightening strikes. There are several websites out that encourage lightening safety and what not," says paramedic Adam Ziebell.
