Felony Charges in Cat Deaths Save Email Print

A feline felony, an elderly Madison woman is charged for fatally poisoning her neighbor's two cats.

The criminal complaint states 78-year-old Myrtle Maly called Animal Control about the cats attacking birds in her yard. She reportedly told investigators that when nothing changed she dumped Decon rodent killer in a can of cat food and left it in her yard.

The cats' owner says he found his cats having convulsions on May 28. Both cats died.

Maly is charged with two felony counts of animal mistreatment.
